EMDR can help you unlock and reprocess those experiences from the past that are currently holding you back. This process generally works within a few sessions and does not require a lot of talking or dwelling on the past.

How Do I Know If I’m A Candidate For This?
While EMDR does almost seem like magic to some people, the fact is, it’s pretty intense. We’re opening up a previously locked file with a lot of painful images, thoughts, feelings and body sensations attached. As a result, it’s important that we meet first and assess together your readiness to engage in this. Some people are at a place where they’re ready to jump right in, others require more time and some traditional therapy to prepare them ahead of time.
