“I Need My Phone But It’s Stressing Me Out.”

A lot of adults don’t understand that phones are an important way that teens connect with friends, learn about important things and express their creativity, among other things. Most teens understand that their phone can also be a source of stress, anxiety and distraction from more important things. It can be hard to know how to balance it all.

This workshop will help teens have a better grasp on how to use their phone in ways that contribute to their happiness overall. They’ll also learn practical ways to reduce the amount that their phone causes them stress and distraction.

 

“How Do I Stop Feeling Like This.”

Being a teen or preteen can feel really overwhelming. Stress can feel like it’s coming from all directions, family, friends, homework, and trying to keep up with the expectations of others. A lot of teens get really strong reactions that don’t make any sense. After a while this can build and lead to unhealthy coping like cutting, avoiding school and/or vaping/smoking weed/drinking.

This workshop will help teens make sense of their feelings and identify some strategies to help them better cope with them so that they can feel a bit happier and more at ease.
